IT’S OFFICIAL! We closed on the Farm Rescue & Sanctuary Property this week and our residents can now call this their forever home! We thank you for your support, your generous donations, and most importantly for seeing and believing in our mission. Our gratitude is endless.

We have been operating our Farm Rescue & Sanctuary on a privately-owned residential property in South Salem, NY for the past 20 years

Over the course of these two decades our sanctuary community has grown to over 200 rescued animals who call Animal Nation home. The property owners need to sell and have given us a small window of time to raise the funds necessary to purchase the property. Owning the land on which we have created this vibrant rescue community has always been our goal.  This space has been a refuge for abused and neglected farm animals who were rescued from (and in some cases escaped from) slaughterhouses and conditions of extreme abuse. For 20 years Animal Nation has been the go-to resource in Westchester, Rockland, Fairfield, and surrounding counties when it comes to all things wildlife, farm animals, and felines in need.

We are the only animal sanctuary of its kind in proximity to Manhattan. In a given year, we respond to over 8,000 animal distress calls.  It bears repeating that there is no other facility like Animal Nation. Animal Nation not only takes in animals, but has a wide network of volunteers in several counties who are in the field performing lifesaving rescues in real time.

The rescue scenarios are endless and the need for these services in our communities are growing exponentially.  We are the organization who responds without fail! …This is why we need your help!

Animal Nation still needs an additional $250,000.00 by the end of March to purchase the South Salem property.

We are close to ensuring our 200+ resident farm animals are safe.  By securing the sanctuary, we can expand our community outreach programs onto the property, with humane education for the public targeting local schools, scout troops, families, and first responders. This will give even greater local impact of spreading compassion throughout our community.  We also would have the opportunity to create a live-in/on-premise veterinary student internship program, helping not only the number of animals in our care but the students too. A win-win scenario!

Please help us preserve a future that prioritizes rescue and sanctuary for injured, neglected and abandoned animals

With enormous gratitude and humility, the entire volunteer family of Animal Nation thank you for caring!
