Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation
If you are looking for help with an injured or distressed animal, please call (914) 400-6014 Immediately. If you have found an injured or orphaned animal of any kind DO NOT ATTEMPT to feed or give water until you have spoken to a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. It could be the difference between life and death.
The Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation Program provides veterinary care and rehabilitation to orphaned, ill, or injured wildlife always with the intent of releasing them back into the wild when they are healed and age appropriate.
The needs of this program continue to grow as the human population and economic development continues to threaten native wildlife. Each year Animal Nation receives and responds to more than 8,000 calls for assistance and through the work of our dedicated volunteers we are able to provide emergency care and rehabilitation to more than 500 orphaned, ill, and injured wild animals.
Below you will find facts and tips for coexisting, typical and atypical behavior, and information regarding rescue. Always give us or your local wildlife rehabilitation center a call if you feel like there is a wild animal in need of help.
